The Boys' Brigade is a Christian youth organisation for boys of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. A varied programme of fun activities is offered, designed to educate, challenge and inspire young boys in a safe environment of Christian teaching.
Boys' Brigade is an international, interdenominational organisation and in the North West there are 100 BB Companies, operated by local churches or missions.
BB Object
The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.
Our Motto
"Sure and Steadfast" (also spelt Stedfast) is taken from Hebrews 6:19"
Principles
The Brigade witnesses to the standard set by Jesus Christ and gives positive teaching on the Christian attitude to life. The Brigade promotes a just society where all people are equally valued.
BB Badge
All over the world, Boys' Brigade members wear the same badge. In the centre a Cross, the symbol of Christ and His Church.
The North West District of The Boys' Brigade comprises all Companies in Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and the Isle of Man, together with some Companies just outside these areas.
