1 Purpose

Photography and filming may take place during activities and events. This policy sets expectations to support safeguarding, privacy and respectful use of images.

2 Consent

Visiting group leaders are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent is in place for their members (including parent/guardian consent where required). Where an individual should not be photographed or filmed, group leaders must manage this appropriately within their group.

3 Respect for privacy
  • Photography and filming is not permitted in bedrooms, bathrooms or changing areas.
  • Be mindful of other groups on site and avoid capturing people who are not part of your group.
  • Staff may ask you to stop filming/photography where privacy, safeguarding or operational needs require it.
4 Use of images
  • Images should be used responsibly and not in a way that compromises safeguarding or privacy.
  • Do not share identifying information (such as names, room locations, travel details) alongside images of children or vulnerable individuals.
  • Where Centre media is captured for promotional purposes, it must follow appropriate consent processes.
5 Reporting concerns

If anyone is uncomfortable with photography or filming, they should inform their group leader or Centre staff. For follow-up enquiries, use: Contact us.
