1 Purpose
CCTV and doorbell cameras are used to support the safety and security of visitors, staff and property across the site.
They form part of the Centre’s overall approach to safeguarding, incident management and protection of buildings and equipment.
2 Locations
Cameras are positioned at building entrances and external areas where security monitoring is appropriate.
They are not installed in private areas such as bedrooms, washing facilities or changing areas or any place internally within buildings.
3 Lawful basis
Processing is carried out under legitimate interests for security, safeguarding and site management purposes.
This includes the prevention and detection of incidents, supporting investigations where required and maintaining a safe environment for all users of the Centre.
4 Storage and retention
Footage is retained for a limited period and automatically deleted unless required for investigation or safeguarding purposes.
Retention periods are managed to balance operational need with data protection requirements.
5 Access to footage
Access to CCTV footage is restricted to authorised personnel responsible for site safety and management.
Footage will only be reviewed where necessary for security, safeguarding or investigation purposes.
6 Subject access requests
Requests relating to recorded footage will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Requests should be submitted in writing via the contact page, providing sufficient detail to identify the relevant footage where possible.
