1 Public Liability Insurance

The Centre holds Public Liability Insurance with Ecclesiastical Insurance.

The policy runs annually from December to December. Evidence of cover can be provided upon request.

2 Employer’s Liability

Employer’s Liability Insurance is maintained where required by law.

3 Indoor Climbing Wall & Archery (Instructor-led)

The Centre provides qualified instructors for the indoor climbing wall and archery sessions where these activities are booked as part of your programme.

How sessions are controlled

  • Activities are delivered under the direction of a qualified instructor.
  • Participants receive a safety briefing before the session begins.
  • Equipment is checked before and after use.
  • Participant numbers and access are controlled during the session.

Visiting leader responsibilities

Visiting group leaders remain responsible for the overall welfare, behaviour and supervision of their young people (including medical needs and appropriate group ratios), and must support the instructor’s safety instructions at all times.

Insurance alignment

The Centre’s Public Liability Insurance relates to operation of the premises and delivery of Centre-led activities. Visiting organisations should maintain their own appropriate insurance arrangements for their group visit, including supervision and any activities delivered by their own leaders.

4 Liability and conduct on site

The Centre is responsible for the safety and maintenance of the premises and for delivering any Centre-led instructed activities as booked.

Visiting groups are responsible for supervision, conduct and behaviour of their members throughout the stay, and for compliance with site rules and safety instructions.

Full contractual terms, including booking conditions and liability provisions, are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
