Booking
How do I make a booking?
Bookings are managed through the Boys' Brigade North West District booking portal.
Register an account, check availability and submit your booking request online.
New accounts are reviewed and approved by the Centre Warden before bookings can be submitted.
How is my booking confirmed?
A booking is confirmed only after a deposit has been received and acknowledged. Payment of the deposit is
taken as acceptance of the Terms & Conditions. You will receive email updates as your booking
progresses. The Centre does not accept card payments — payments are by BACS or cheque.
What is the deposit and is it refundable?
A deposit is required to confirm a provisional booking. All deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel after deposit has been paid, the deposit will not be returned. Please check our cancellation
terms before confirming.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Any cancellation of a confirmed booking will result in the loss of any non-refundable deposits paid.
Additional charges may apply depending on how close to the arrival date the cancellation is made.
Cancellations required due to Government regulations are treated separately — please contact us to
discuss.
Can the Warden place a booking on my behalf?
Yes. Once your account has been approved, the Warden can place a booking on your behalf if you prefer.
Contact us with your dates, group size and requirements and we'll take it from there.
Can I view prices before booking?
Yes — our current price list is available online. Prices vary by accommodation type, group size and
the facilities you require. For a tailored quote, send us your dates and numbers.
Accommodation
What accommodation options are available?
The Centre offers three main accommodation types:
- Centenary Hall — dormitory-style residential sleeping up to 54 guests across 9 rooms, with 4 additional staff bedrooms.
- Stedfast Lodge — a smaller lodge sleeping up to 18 guests across 4 bedrooms, ideal for leadership teams and smaller groups.
- Campsite — outdoor camping field accommodating up to 30 tents, with showers and toilet facilities in the sports hall.
Is the accommodation exclusively ours during our stay?
Yes — Centenary Hall and Stedfast Lodge are each booked for one group at a time, meaning the building and
its facilities are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. The Sports Barn, Sports Field and Trim
Trail are shared facilities and may be used by other groups on site.
Do we need to bring bedding?
Bedding is provided for Centenary Hall and Stedfast Lodge stays — this includes sheets, duvets, pillows
and covers. Blankets are available on request. Camping groups will need to bring their own sleeping bags
and mats.
How do leaders manage bed allocations?
Use the online bedding list tools to allocate rooms and beds before arrival. You can print the list for
your leaders and send a completed copy to the Centre for the fire register.
Is the accommodation accessible?
Both Centenary Hall and Stedfast Lodge are single-storey buildings with disabled-friendly facilities.
If you have specific access requirements, please contact us before booking so we can ensure your group
is appropriately accommodated.
Can we have a campfire on the campsite?
Ground fires are not permitted. Designated fire pits only — the Centre's fire pit can be hired for your
stay. Fire buckets and extinguishers are provided. Please Contact us when booking to confirm availability.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes — free Wi-Fi is available across the residential buildings. Details will be provided on arrival.
Are there building plans available?
Yes — interactive plans are available for all buildings and the campsite field.
Activities
What activities are available on site?
The Centre offers a range of on-site activities including archery, climbing wall, caving tunnels,
trim trail, water slide, fire pit sessions and use of the sports barn and field. Activities are
subject to availability and some require advance booking.
Do activities require advance booking?
Some activities need to be booked in advance to ensure equipment and staff availability. When making
your booking enquiry, include the activities you'd like and we'll confirm what's available during
your dates.
Are there off-site activities or local attractions nearby?
Yes — the Centre is located on the Fylde Coast near Blackpool, with easy access to a range of
attractions including the Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Tower, and many local
walks. We also have transport guidance to help groups plan their visit.
Is the Sports Barn available to hire?
Yes — the Sports Barn can be hired for sports sessions, activities and events. It is a shared facility
so availability depends on what else is booked on site during your stay.
Can groups use the site for orienteering or treasure hunts?
Yes — the site and surrounding area are well suited to orienteering, scavenger hunts and
treasure hunt activities. Pre-prepared routes and activities are available.

confirmed as part of your booking. Please advise your group size and any specific requirements
when enquiring.

local pubs and cafés to takeaways and supermarkets near Blackpool and Kirkham. Our local area
